Celebration for Patricia Clay-Jolly

Patricia Clay-Jolly recently stepped down after 14 years as our president.  To honor her and celebrate her years of leadership, we hosted a special luncheon during our monthly Saturday meeting on September 7th.

We had a great turn out and a lot of fun!  Those attending enjoyed a plethora of delicious homemade salads and a celebratory cake.  Special thanks go out to Marge Vissers and Carol Terry for coordinating a beautiful luncheon.

The volunteers presented Patricia with a $100 gift certificate to Holly's Yarn Shop to express their gratitude for her many years of leadership.
In her usual humble way, Patricia turned the attention from herself quickly and presented our new president, Kay Stephenson, with a beautiful framed picture that she had received during her tenure as  president.  The message had inspired her and she hoped it would inspire Kay as well.

The message is relevant and inspirational for all our volunteers:
"One hundred years from now... it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; but... the world MAY be different because I was important in the life of a child."
