Christmas Bag Delivery to Parkland

Thanks 

to all our many volunteers who donated time, money and purchased and handmade items to make our annual Christmas bag project a success!  We completed over 344 bags that were handed out to families who were blessed with newborn babies at Parkland just before Christmas.

Each beautiful hand made bag included a blanket, a sleeper, a warm hat, a pair of socks or booties, a hand painted Christmas ornament, and a soft stuffed embroidered toy made by our volunteers. The Child Development staff at Parkland provided books, developmental toys and first Christmas ornaments to add to the bags.  There is no doubt that each family that received one was thrilled to receive so many beautiful essentials for their newborn!

Tom Thumb Good Neighbor Program

Now, every time you buy groceries at Tom Thumb, you can help us raise money for our Newborns in Need chapter! 

We are now set up at Tom Thumb for their Good Neighbor Program!  Please take a few minutes to stop by the customer service desk next time you are in Tom Thumb and turn in a form to ADD our organization (13050) to your Rewards card.  Once you do this, Love Thy Neighbor will receive 1% of every purchase you make!  It is an easy way to help us raise money for fabric, yarn and sewing supplies.

You can download the form Customer's Good Neighbor Charity Addition/Deletion Form.  Be sure to ADD our organization number 13050, your reward card number, name, phone number and then sign.  If you have any questions, you can call the 800 number on the form.  The completed form should be dropped off at the Customer Service Center in your local Tom Thumb or can be turned into Gloria at any meeting.  PLEASE NOTE YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE THE NUMBER WE USED FOR NEWBORNS IN NEED WHEN YOU ADD LOVE THY NEIGHBOR. (Be sure to REMOVE 13159 and ADD 13050).

Please share this information with your family and friends and ask them to sign up to support us.  It only takes a few minutes....but it is a small act with great impact!!!

Loom Hats Donated!

The Arts and Crafts Special Interest Group of the Coppell Women's Club recently learned loom knitting by learning to make baby hats for Newborns In Need.  In just one week, the group made 34 beautiful loom hats!

Several of the ladies have since become regular volunteers and are continuing to make loom hats to donate to us.
