IBC Small Group Donates

One of the small groups from Irving Bible Church heard about our local chapter of Newborn in Needs and wanted to help out. They shopped for clothes, fabric and yarn, crocheted hats and
booties, and sewed quilt tops for a two month period and then they came to our Saturday work day in January to donate their collection. They stayed to help put together quilt kits, sort donations, and make packages for Parkland hospital.

The group from IBC said they really enjoyed the experience and hope to help out at future workdays. One of the visitors commented, "I was so impressed with how Newborns in Need can optimize every scrap of fabric and yarn that is donated...they waste nothing! The Saturday work day was so well organized. I loved it and want to come again soon!"

There are many ways to help out individually and as a group. Join us any Thursday or on the first Saturday of each month to volunteer your time. Donations of cotton fabric for quilts, baby weight yarn, t-shirts or onesies, socks, bibs, and new or gently used clothing and cash donations are always appreciated!
